“YOHO” LADIES ONLY BASKETBALL CAMP
Bengaluru: 18th July, 2018. A unique, but very innovative basketball camp was started at the BBMP-Beagles Indoor Basketball Stadium. A camp for the young homemakers from around the neighbourhood was announced and kick started on 18th July, 2018. This camp was initiated based on several requests from young homemakers who also wished to be taught the game of basketball. The camp has been designed to make the sessions simple but with lots of fun. And at the same time the ladies learn the game of basketball at their own pace.
BEAGLES GIRLS EMERGE CHAMPIONS
Bengaluru 16th April, 2018 (Deccan Herald): Center Sanjana Ramesh stole the show as Beagles Basketball Club emerged champions in the Girls section of the state Under-18 basketball championships with a fighting 48-38 win over DYES Vidyanagar at the Sree Kanteerava courts on Monday.
Sanjana, who led the girls under-16 India team to Division “A” in the FIBA Asian Basketball Championships last year, shone with a game high 22 points. Nidhi and Tanya supported her with 8 points each.
DRIBBLE-ON SUMMER CAMP FOR BOYS & GIRLS – 2018
Bengaluru 29th March, 2018: The DRIBBLE-ON Summer Camp for Boys and Girls kick started with enthusiasm at the BBMP-Beagles Basketball Indoor Stadium. A large number of boys and girls aged between 5 years – 21 years signed-up for the camp which lasts for around 6 to 7 weeks. The participating players, exceeding 400 in numbers have been clubbed into specific age groups and further assigned to specific batches in order to facilitate smaller group sizes.
INAUGURATION OF BBMP-BEAGLES BASKETBALL INDOOR STADIUM
Bengaluru: 3rd March, 2018. The grand inauguration of the BBMP – Beagles Basketball Indoor stadium was conducted with great success. Present on the joyous occasion were Hon. Mayor Shri Sampath Raj, Dr C N Ashwathnarayan, MLA Malleswaram Constituency, Mr Manjunath Raju, Corporator – Kaadu Malleswara, Indian Team Cricketer Varun Aaron, Indian Tennis Star Rohan Bopanna and other dignitaries. Also present were the current Indian Basketball Team.
DRIBBLETHON – An Unique Mass Dribblers March
Bengaluru: 3rd March, 2018. A unique DRIBBLETHON, perhaps first of its kind anywhere in the Karnataka State, was organised by the Dr C N Ashwathnarayan Foundation here at Malleswaram. More than 400 boys and girls dribbled along the basketballs individually in a mass demonstration of the love for the game of Basketball. The dribblethon started from the old Beagles basketball courts at Patankar Layout and ended at the newly constructed BBMP-Beagles Basketball Indoor Stadium.
