April 14, 2025: Beagles Basketball Club successfully organized an Under-13 Invitational Basketball Tournament for both boys and girls under the aegis of KSBBA from April 10th to 13th, 2025. The tournament featured 16 top teams from Bangalore and served as both a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and as a preparatory event for the upcoming State Championship commencing on April 15th.
Initial Planning and Preparations:
The first planning meeting for the tournament was held on March 29th, 2025. This meeting included all key coaches and senior members from the Beagles Basketball Club. The attendees were:

The meeting agenda primarily revolved around team coordination, match scheduling, and delegating responsibilities among the members to ensure a smooth and competitive event. Although initial planning began early, official confirmation to host the tournament was given verbally by KSBBA officials only on April 7th, 2025. This confirmation came after the conclusion of the KBL leagues, as the officials were available only after April 6th.
Format:
The tournament followed a league cum super league format, ensuring all participating teams had the opportunity to play multiple matches, gaining valuable experience and exposure. The teams were very happy about this format.

Yelahanka Newtown Girls Team received a special award for their exemplary upcoming promising team and upholding the spirit of the game.
All the league matches, a best player was identified and was awarded with a gift card of Rs. 300 from Decathlon. (All 22 Matches)

Dignitaries and Guests
The event was graced by former international and state-level players along with esteemed dignitaries:
Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan (MLA, Former Deputy CM of Karnataka, Chief Patron of Beagles Basketball Club) attended on Day 3 and shared inspirational insights on the importance of sports in holistic development. He also praised the supreme maintenance condition in and around Beagles stadium.
Dr. K. Govindaraj (MLC, Political Secretary to CM, President of FIBA Asia & Karnataka Olympic Association, Hon. Secretary of KSBBA) attended the finals. He applauded the initiative and emphasized the need for balancing sports with academics. Also announced Rs. 50,000 to Beagles basketball club as a token of appreciation and to conduct this event on an annual basis (for next year).
